We are very thankful for each of you and the ministry God has called us to serve in. May and June have been filled with so many ministry blessings!
Visit from Kaylee
Kaylee was finally able to visit for the first time since 2016. Our prayer was that God would multiply her time and touches with people. We saw Him do this over and over for her. We love that she loves the people of Nicaragua, too! These pictures say it all!
Team from Chilhowee Hills Baptist Church, Knoxville Tennessee
We had the privilege of hosting this team from May 28 - June 6th. Along with connecting with our Friday Discipleship and Sunday Bible Study groups, they ministered in 4 communities, speaking to youth groups, leading children’s activities, ministering to women, leading in worship music, going on home visits, and proving the whole church service for Iglesea Filadelfia on Sunday. Not only did they serve well, but they were well served by Nicaraguans. We saw God in the details and He alone gets the glory!
Serving Together
One of the added blessings of hosting a team from the U.S. is the opportunity this provides for our Nicaraguan friends to serve with us and form new relationships. The translators for the Chilhowee team were Bryan, Darwin, Tito (from our Friday night discipleship group), Teresa (from our Sunday Bible Study), KC, Anthony ( from an English teaching Academy) and Henry (Anthony’s twin brother who asked to come along for the experience). They each did a fantastic job!
Pastor Henry
God continues to open doors that lead us to pastors with hearts for evangelism and discipleship. Through Quevit, we’ve had the privilege of meeting Pastor Henry and his wife, Paula, from Iglesea Monte Hermon in the community of Susuli. Within a month of meeting them at their church they’ve been to our home to discuss ministry opportunities and we’ve already had the opportunity to serve them with the Chilhowee team. Their church is on top of a mountain with a beautiful view and they are able to reach a lot of people. We look forward to returning in July with John Woodward from Grace Fellowship International.
Coming in July...
We are really looking forward to hosting Dr. John Woodward from Grace Fellowship International. He will be speaking with several groups on The Exchanged Life. We appreciate John’s willingness to come and look forward to watching God work through him!
Prayer Requests
* We are continuing to ask you to pray with us for our residency renewal. We are currently waiting for Missionary Ventures International non-profit documents to be renewed by the Nicaraguan government. When this happens we can start our renewel process which will require all documents to be current at the same time. We are also praying for favor because we are now overdue. We know God is in the details and are trusting Him and His timing.
* We are continuing to pray for additional financial provision for our personal support and for ministry as God continues to lead us.
