February 2021 Ministry Update

Eric was able to return to Nicaragua on January 14th for 3 weeks and then return to N.C. for the birth of our grandson. During those 3 weeks he was able to connect with all the areas of ministry and even potentially add another church to help with resources. It is our plan to both return to Nicaragua in March. Even though we have been blessed with the ability to continue ministry during our extended stay in the U.S., being face-to-face with the people God has called us to serve with was much needed for all!

Sunday Bible Study

Eric was able to meet with our Sunday bible study by renting the top floor of Hotel Palmeras de Elim. This was a win-win because we were able to financially support our friends at the hotel and provide a safer place to meet since it is not a closed in space. I loved that technology allowed me to join in!

Jinotega Ministry with Isaias and Ariadna

We are so excited to partner with Isaias and Ariadna in the city of Jinotega. They have such a mature faith and a strong desire to share God's Word and disciple young people. We were thankful they were able to travel to our home to get resources, share their vision for the future, and plan for the upcoming year.

Communities of San Dionisio and Santa Emilia

It is always a pleasure to meet with Pastor Humberto and Pastor Cesar and their church leaders. We were able to discuss their current status and needs in order to coordinate our schedules for this year and plan for the necessary ministry resources.

School Uniforms and Supplies

The families of Santa Emilia have continued to struggle in providing for their families. We were thankful for God's provision once again to provide school uniforms and school supplies for several students from Pastor Cesar's church in the community of Santa Emilia. Each of these students are also continuing their weekly discipleship studies with Pastor Cesar and his wife Blanca.

UNAN University Graduation Celebration

We love working with the UNAN students! Their English Teaching Program lasts for 5 years so they become like family to each other and to us. When we were planning this time together they told Eric to be sure to give them a message about God. What a privilege it is to know and work with these young men and women!

Solingalpa Bible Study

The Monday Bible Study is still going strong. They have been going through a detailed study of the Old Testament. When we return our monthly plan is for us to teach one of their weekly lessons and for all of us to participate one of the weeks in home visitations.

Sharing Resources

One of the resources Eric was able to take with him was a Spanish scripture coloring book. We were able to purchase 50. They have been so well received that we have purchased 50 more.

Rowan Banks Harbinson

Last, but certainly not least, we would like to introduce you to our precious grandson. He was born to Greg and Erin on Feb.15th. It has been such a huge blessing to be here for his birth!

Prayer Needs

Continue to pray for our residency renewal. We do not have any new news on our process but we are continuing to pursue the option we believe the Lord is providing. We will update you all as soon as we have confirmation in this area. Thank you for your prayers!
